Concerned About Black Mold?

Friday, November 18th, 2011

People who own real estate should concern themselves with various environmental issues that occur naturally in and on the land and the buildings constructed there. One of the most famous problems down south is the termite.  Everyone knows that termites live in colonies and attack materials that adore food sources rich in cellulose. That’s wood, [...]

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

Yesterday morning, 15 November 2011, I headed for the kitchen for the special coffee we love at our house and as I passed through the Cozy, through the window I was shocked by the explosion of color out side the window. There with a bright sunshine smile was the little maple Japanese Maple given to [...]

Your Own Turnip Patch

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

It’s the same every year in South Mississippi, except this one.  This year you bought a little slice of heaven. You found the perfect place to land, a place where under God’s blue sky your toes can feel the dirt as you dig and stir the soil for a garden.  You did just that too.  [...]

I Never Wrote a Book Review, Until

Friday, August 5th, 2011

Precious Friends

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Lecturing ones’ daughter is such a waste of effort, even if she is a daughter like mine.  Mine is absolutely perfect.  On and on I go, “Precious Girl, in this life, it is not What one knows, it is Who one knows”.   It’s the truth, if ever a truth was spoken.
For this ‘Truth’ there [...]

DownUnder, a sandwich is a Big Deal. It must have the flavor, the jest, the spice, otherwise some Dundee guy comes out of the river acting ugly. They are like that, serious, pointed.  Oh, It also has to have the protean factor.  Everywhere I traveled, food must excite the senses. One should never leave the table [...]

Don’t You Love Christmas? Sicilians do.

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

The origins vary, depending on who you ask, but usually Sicilians did not eat meat on Christmas Eve since it was the birth of Jesus. That does not mean that they don’t plan to eat meat on Christmas day. Perhaps that is the joy of a big hungry family coming together to do what [...]

“What we had there was the ability to c’municate.”

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

A bright fellow called a meeting this past Tuesday. When I walked in, it was clear that, of the 9 already there, 6, I knew from past experience, were true leaders, confident people. I thought to myself, Didn’t kow the others, but had the sense to be careful. I mused, “This meeting could turn [...]

Jones County, Mississippi has a low unemployment rate, around 8.9%.  There are jobs available here too. It’s a good place to live. Still, a Government Job seems appealing at the wage earner level, not so much administration.
A Government Job came to my attention today, and it seems a good one.  Read about it below:
 Dear Community [...]
